A little about me

I enjoy the outdoors and the simple things in life, from flying around woodland trails on my Mountain bike to a peaceful day fishing in the middle of the countryside. I try to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. I also enjoy a good design show or walk around a gallery, from a digital exhibition or a stroll around the TATE Modern, I find it’s a great way to be inspired.

I have also been lucky enough to travel back in 2002 and spend over 7 years overseas. Traveling and working around South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Asia, and finally Europe, which was a fantastic experience and inspiration as a young designer, and certainly broadened my horizons as a person, returning to work in London in 2009. I have worked in a variety of design roles from my early days in print as a Graphic Designer, to digital and web-based roles in different industries around London, I made the exciting transition into UX and UI design back in 2014 and have been in love with the challenges and rewards ever since.

As a UX/UI Designer, I currently find myself being very fortunate to work at Capgemini as a Senior Consultant on their Global UX Team. Working on a  huge project with Global giants Unilever at their offices in Liverpool. I have previously worked on some fantastic solutions for the NHS helping to design and deliver user-centric applications to Junior Doctors and Medical professionals.

My passion and experience for UX and UI design came whilst working closely with both clients and developers, on large bespoke digital systems. I could clearly see the need and value for user-centered design. It is something that I feel passionate about. To create something that not only meets business requirements but helps the user, responds to the user’s needs, and helps them achieve their goals, is something that I find very rewarding. I also find that working in these small life cycles, following a UX process, keeps the team and myself on track ensuring that what we do create, is in fact of value.
