When I am not immersed in the digital world of transformation, I love to get out into the countryside on my mountain bike or go for a relaxing day fishing. I am also quite an active person, going to the gym, boxing, swimming, and running. I have a young family and we spend a lot of time outdoors, exploring new places, trying new food, and having new experiences.
For inspiration, I really enjoy a good design show or walk around a gallery, be it a digital exhibition or something a little more abstract. I have also been lucky enough to travel and work overseas from 2002 until 2009. Travelling South East Asia, Australasia, and Europe gave me inspiration as a designer, confidence working with clients from different cultural backgrounds, and certainly broadened my horizons. I have two young children and am now residing in Switzerland.
I currently work as a senior user experience consultant within the UK Digital Experience team at Capgemini, a global digital transformation giant. I work with their clients from across a broad range of sectors. I deliver a tailored UX, service design focus.
I am fortunate to have worked on a number of large, demanding and complex projects with some global giants, such as BP (British Petroleum), helping them with the challenges of remote working following COVID 19 and before this Unilever, to help them on a number of different projects on their Global Supply Chain across 5 continents. I have also been lucky to work with the NHS, helping to design and deliver user-centric applications to Junior Doctors and Medical professionals through different departments and following Government guidelines for accessible design standards.
UX: Agile and Lean experience working in Sprints: Discovery workshops, user research, defining personas, user journey mapping, sketching concepts, wireframing, prototyping in Sketch & InVision, or Axure, facilitating co-create workshops in Mural, usability testing, presentation, and delivery too Development teams and Stakeholders.
UI: Hi-fidelity user interfaces with Sketch or Adobe suite, establishing UI patterns, and creating digital style sheets, delivery of assets and support.
Digital: HTML responsive email campaigns, digital banners, creating digital products requiring animation, transitions, and interactive elements.
Web Design: Experienced in the design and build of HTML/CSS based websites, tailoring WordPress themes for commercial websites.
Graphic Design: Print layout, branding/logo design, creative artwork, POS, image manipulation, photo retouching/colour correction, and hand drawing.
